- Whatever else you use, I strongly recommend starting with Stroustrup's
- book "The Design and Evolution of C++". This covers both the
- achievements of the language and many of its defects and omissions,
- and provides the reasoning behind some of the latter. You're not
- likely to find a more informed source on C++.
